Many thanks to everyone who helped clean the beach areas on Saturday, June 28th! We had a great turnout and removed at least 4 truckloads of trash, debris, and brush/weeds from the area!

Thanks to the 130+ people who came out on the 9th and cleaned 11 Lynn parks and public areas! What a tremendous effort! Thanks also to our sponsors, Friends of Lynn and Nahant Beach, the North Shore Navigators, Girls, Inc., Downtown Lynn Neighborhood Association (DTLna), the Daily Item, DCR, and the City of Lynn Parks and Recreation Department, Ward 3 Councilor Darren Cyr, Ward 5 Councilor Peter Capano, and Councilor at Large, Dan Cahill, music by This Day in History and Walnut-da lyrical geni. We couldn’t have done it without you… or our teams… Friends of Lynn and Nahant Beach-various; Girls, Inc.-High Rock Park; KAYA-Bennett Street Playground; The Lynn Common Flower Bed Project-Lynn Common; ROTC from Lynn English (two teams–Magnolia and Gallagher Playgrounds); The Pond People- Goldfish Pond; LYSOA; LCA Cookout Crew; the Kiley Cleaners-Kiley Park; Sparkling WAVE-Williams Ave Playground; and DTLna-Central Square. The winners of the team leaders signing up with at least 15 participants were LYSOA, KAYA, and Lynn English ROTC, and the best team names were voted at the cookout to be the ROTC crews. Winning team leaders and the ROTC received compimentary tickets to our LCA Night at Fraser Field on July 7th. We are now reviewing the results of our survey of participants to make next year even better!
